Cattle Brands, Sheep Brands and Stock Earmarks must be registered in New
Mexico. I will lookup a brand description for Quay County in the 1934/36 and
1977 New Mexico Brand Book which includes many pre-statehood brands. The brand

I will do lookups in the High Plains History Book. These books contain
collections of family histories and Quay County World War II soldiers. I will
do one lookup in our tombstone records if you furnish a Surname in capital
letters and a first name or initial of the person you want looked up and the
cemetery to search. Quay County
Cemetery list. E-mail Harold Kilmer

I am researching the following surnames: BINION, BARNES, BROWN, FLOYD,
FORTENBERRY/FAULKENBERRY, FOSTER, FARIS, GAUNY, GAINES, KETCHUM,
LAURENCE/LAWRENCE, O'BRIEN, POSEY/POSCHET, PATTERSON, RATLIF. I have some neat
histories about some of my Ancestors. For instance, BlackJack
Ketchum was my 4th cousin. His Uncle James Ketchum was killed by the Kickapoo Indians at Horsehead
Crossing on the Pecos River while on a cattle drive to New Mexico. Hezekiah
Posey, my 4th Great Grandfather, was in the Revolutionary War. Anyway, I'll be
glad to share what info I have. Dave Posey

Lookup resources will be listed as they become known and available. If you
have any history or record books, if you are able to go to the local library
and check available census or newspaper records, if you would be willing to
help in any way, please e-mail Harold
Kilmer so that you and your resources can be listed here.
